CPF’S GOT CLASS

Dear Central High Classmates:

Since you graduated, Central High School  (CHS) has grown.  It now has 2,400 students and its campus has four buildings.

Central needs our support!   School budgets are declining but as Central grows so does its needs grow!

To meet this need, the Central Pride Foundation (CPF) was established as a non-profit 501(C) 3 foundation to support the enrichment of the educational process at Manchester Central High School. It does this through: purchasing technology for CHS; supporting student academic competitions; supplementing the purchase of academic materials; funding student publications; and many other needs.

Due to budget cuts, the Central Pride Foundation is getting more requests than ever for financial assistance.

Your class can make a difference.

Through the CPF’s GOT CLASS fund raising effort, your class can get recognition for donating more than any other class in the calendar year.  A plaque will be placed in the lobby at Central High School that will indicate which class contributed the most in the previous calendar year.

Just to give you an example, during 2008 members of the class of 1958 donated a total of $2,670.

In 2007 donations from members of the class of 1967 totaled $1,075.

Recent Central High School Academic Accomplishments include:

            CHS Math Club tied for 1^st Place in Large School Division in 2009 State Math Meet

 CHS student received 2009 Nat’l Council of Teachers of English Writing Award

CHS Oracle won 2^nd Place in American Scholastic Press Association competition

In 2009 CHS’s DECA business club chapter won over $10,000 in scholarships for its members

CHS’s Robotics’ Team won 2009 Mayhem in Merrimack Competition and 2009 Bear Brawl Competition
